Last Sunday we held the traditional procession of the Santi Medici. At 8 o'clock a fire bomb has announced the release paper from the church of San Gennaro of statues of saints. A beautiful sunny morning has crowned a procession and a party back at last to its former glory and solemnity to the original: the procession returned to take the old route that predict the transition to Piazza Garibaldi and corso Dante and here at 9.00 am, the passage of the Saints has been hailed by diana pyrotechnics. Many believers have followed the procession back to 13.00 but the organization of the retreat has allowed more people to be able to append and follow the procession. In fact, from Via Roma until the return of the procession is very long, something not seen in years. And all along the route of the procession and the balconies were decorated with blankets, rose petals and notes with prayers of invocations to the Saints were thrown in their path and in some point of the processional route were burned boxes of fireworks in their honor. I finally breathed again the air of the feast of Saints Doctors have not heard since I was little. A praise to the community of San Gennaro, the Pious Association and in particular to the parish priest Msgr. Sergio Vitulano regenerated for the feast of Saints Novena Doctors from outside until the party. Here are some photos, I realized, the time of the return of Santi Medici.
