Today the Catholic Church celebrates the liturgy of Our Lady of Lourdes. It recalls the apparition of Our Lady to Bernadette that occurred in 1853 in the grotto of Lourdes Massapienne. On the morning of 11 February 1853 Bernadette went to gather firewood with her sisters. Not being able to cross the river because of very delicate health, Bernadette had to stop. Bernadette decided to cross the river anyway to get the sisters and as he was removing clogs and socks, he heard a loud noise. He looked up and saw the top of an oak agitated despite there was no wind and a cloud of gold light up the cave Massapienne. Bernadette saw appear a lady dressed in white with a white veil, a blue walls, a rose on both feet and a crown of the Rosary in his hands. This first appearance was followed by others. The Lady in the apparition spoke to Bernadette. In appearance he said: "I do not promise to make you happy in this world but another." In another, Ms. Repeated three times: "Penance. Pray for sinners." And the man turned the first miracle: the Lady told Bernadette to go to the source and drinking water. Since there is no source, Bernadette asked the Lady where he was the source and the Lady pointed to the exact spot. Bernadette began eating grass and digging sticks in the face of the earth. In view of this, these laughed and made fun of Bernadette and went away. But at some point began to flow from the source water. A blind man with his hands touched the water coming out of the hole, rubbed his eyes and his sight. In another appearance, the Lady revealed her name to Bernadette: "I am the Immaculate Conception." Since 1853, Lourdes is a place of pilgrimage especially for the sick who go there to receive the comfort of faith. 
There are reports of many miracles occurred in Lourdes, some recognized by the church and some are not. Near the cave is the source that feeds a plunge pool in which thousands of people. The water source has been repeatedly subjected to tests from which was still pure. Here in Molfetta, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is celebrated at the Immaculate Conception parish. From February 1, there was the Solemn Novena in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes cured by the association. This evening there will be a procession with the simularo the Virgin through the streets of the neighborhood parish.

at 18.30 procession with the statue of the Virgin in the following ways: Piazza Immacolata, Via Daniele Manin, Via Roma, Piazza Roma, Via Ippolito Nievo, Via Foggia, via extension Pia Via Carlo Pisacane, Ribera via Emanuele, Piazza Immacolata and return of the procession . The procession will be accompanied by music and the Lower Complex Band "Santa Cecilia.
